On Wednesday, December 3, more than 100 people gathered at our Broken Arrow facilities as we held a press conference to discuss RISE Manufacturing’s recent growth and acceptance into the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program.
Jim Beavers, chair of the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation; Representative David Brumbaugh; County Commissioner John Smaligo; Brian O’Hara, representative for Congressman Jim Bridenstine; and Matt Torres, president of RISE Manufacturing spoke at the press conference, and O’Hara presented RISE with a certificate of special congressional recognition on behalf of Congressman Bridenstine.
“This (Rise’s growth) is exactly what Oklahoma needs,” said Representative Brumbaugh during the press conference. “Thank you for what you are doing. We’re here to support you and help you grow.”
Over the past six months, our company has doubled in size, and we plan to continue this aggressive growth curve. We’re currently hiring additional skilled welders and CNC machinists.
“RISE Manufacturing continues to impress us; the Broken Arrow Chamber and the Broken Arrow EDC are excited about their future in our community,” said Wes Smithwick, president and CEO of the Broken Arrow Chamber and EDC. “Not only are they committed to continued growth, but we appreciate their pledge to be local and their efforts to hire U.S. veterans.”
Immediately following the press conference, we had a ribbon cutting and open house where community members had the opportunity to tour our facilities and view RISE Armament products.
A big thanks to the Broken Arrow Chamber and EDC for all their help with the event! They were instrumental in its success. We couldn’t be more impressed with the Chamber/EDC and their work. Thanks also to all the local media who covered the event, and thanks to everyone who came!
